AMERICAN HERITAGEWEAR

Why We Started Follow The Tractor

There is a version of America most of us never learned about.

It lives in the soil. In the citrus groves planted before Florida became a state. In the cattle ranges that stretched across Montana before the railroads arrived. In the vineyards of California, the cotton fields of Texas, the dairy farms of Wisconsin, the orchards of New York. It lives in the hands of the people who worked the land — generation after generation — long before anyone thought to write it down.

Follow The Tractor exists to write it down.

  • What We Do

We document American agricultural heritage in three ways.

Through writing.

FarmSteadfast is the Discover America field journal which carries the stories behind the apparel — the families, the crops, the tools, and the moments that shaped American agriculture from the ground up.

This collection will never be finished. It will grow as long as there are stories to tell.

Through apparel.

The 50 States Collection is our first collection — American agricultural heritage documented one state at a time. Each design carries an ACRES N° — a numbered entry in the archive. Wear it, and you carry a piece of the story with you.

The number reminds us that no single piece exists alone.

Through community.

Through community. Anyone can nominate a farm or ranch to be archived. The stories we collect from real people, in real places, are the foundation everything else is built on.

The backbone of America are farms and ranches
